Welcome to the Viera Pride Youth Wrestling Club (VPYWC) home page. Our wrestling club was established in 2009. We are a private youth club, but open to the general public. The team has set very high standards for itself. We practice with intensity and have a strong work ethic. The team is very dedicated, exudes desire to learn, and is determined to become the strongest wrestling club in Central Florida. This mindset has carried over to our goal-oriented approach. Our club emphasizes that a Viera Pride wrestler be a student first, and wrestler second.
In 4 years our membership has grown to 40+ wrestlers and we expect an even larger turnout this year as the word has gotten out about our program as well as to the recent success of Viera High School Wrestling which is soon becoming a power-house in the area!
We are a proud organization that strives for excellence and is always recruiting young ambitious athletes (boy or girl) from the surrounding area that might enjoy experiencing quality competition and the spirit of sportsmanship. Our 2012 Season will be getting underway! Our season will start on Tuesday, February 7 from 6pm to 7:30pm at the Viera H.S Wrestling gym. We will start collecting applications now by mail or will have an in-person registration on Thursday, January 26 from 6pm to 8pm at the Viera H.S Gym. Click the "Registration" tab above to print out an application. Coaches will hand-out discount coupons for Dick's and Sport's Authority for equipment at practices.
We will also be looking for volunteers to help coach as well as be a part of the administrative board. Please inquire at registration.
